Spooks star refused entry into the US
Spooks star Keeley Hawes found herself at the sharp end of the authorities when she was refused entry into the US on a recent trip to promote the series’ DVD. Hawes had less than six months left on her passport before it expired and, under new US customs rules, that is enough to get you turned away at the gate. Unfortunately, for Hawes, her MI5 on-screen persona proved no match for the might of US immigration and she was sent back on the next flight to London.
