Death at a Funeral DVD interview

Transcript and Matthew’s interview:

I play Jane, erm Daniel’s wife and um the daughter-in-law of Sandra, who hates Jane. [laughs] Quite why, we don’t know. I think it’s just that sort of mother-in-law, daughter-in-law love-hate type relationship.

Evident with uh well, with Jane in mind, really. Um and then when Matthew was offered the part, it sort of, because we’re really married it kind of [laughs] sort of made sense, really and fell in place, yeah.

As we were saying last night, it’s kind of amazing how we haven’t had ignited?? on set [laughs]. Um and then we get home and have dinner together, we have lunch together. We come in and we have breakfast together. Most of the time we come in the same car and go home in the same car together.[laughs] And uh it could start getting a bit you know, with anybody, with any relationship, it could start getting a bit iffy but it’s not so far [fingers crossed].

It’s day when you really have to be grown up and you really have to behave yourself and as soon as anybody’s put into that situation, and uh anything can happen. And it’s like being at school — the more trouble you’re in for laughing or getting whatever, the more you do it. And it’s exactly the same feeling but as a grown-up.
