When Cora (McGovern) invites Evelyn Napier (Brendan Patricks) to stay at Downton, he brings along his friend Kemal Pamuk (Theo James), an attaché at the Turkish Embassy. Pamuk is attracted to eldest daughter Mary (Michelle Dockery), but an illicit night of passion between the pair ends unexpectedly when Pamuk suffers a fatal heart attack.
